Why Pineapples?

It all started with my last name, Piña. It means Pineapple in Spanish.

Growing up, the pineapple was our family symbol long before the pineapple was trendy clip art.

I have a large family and we all love the pineapple, because to us it means family.

All About Me

Let me tell you a little about me and how I got here.

For about ten years, I was a fiction book buyer for a large book distributor. It was a joy working directly with book publishers and getting to know the world of publishing. I also loved discovering new authors or finding the next new amazing book. My kids also loved the endless stream of new children's books in my work bag.

However, in 2019 I decided to step away to become a freelance content writer and to spend more time with my kids. Although I loved my new career, I really missed working with books.

So I began to share book-related content that I created on both Instagram and TikTok in my spare time. It was just what I needed to fill that book world fix.

All of this led me to this blog, where I share books for both you and your kids.
